Let's Talk Optics
This ZWO Mini Guide Scope features a focal length of 120 mm and an aperture of 30 mm. This makes it suitable to pair with telescopes including short-to-medium focal lengths for optimal guiding performance. The cemented internal lens is fully multicoated to ensure sharp stars and exceptional clarity, and the 30 mm aperture collects ample light for resolution of the best guide stars.
Two Methods of Camera Attachment
When it comes to camera attachment, there are two different methods to choose from. You can either insert your camera with a 1.25” nosepiece and secure it in place with the included thumb screws, or you can directly thread your camera onto the M42*0.75 threads found on the back of this guide scope. All ZWO ASI cameras are compatible with this guide scope, and you can even add an appropriate T-ring (not included) to attach your DSLR.
Effortless Focusing
After securing your camera with the included thumb screws or by attaching it with the M42 threads, you will reach focus by unscrewing the front portion of the objective. Keep rotating this front portion until your stars are sharp and in focus. Once you have found proper focus, rotate the red locking ring to hold your focus in place.
