Through tears, they say things like, “My adoptive mother died four months ago, and now I’m finally free to try to find my biological parents. The host and her guests are former foster care youths, who departed the system only when they aged out starting on their 18th birthdays. They have opinions about what they went through, things they would have liked to know at the time, questions they would have asked others their age — if only they’d had the chance. This podcast, now in its second season, is an attempt to fill the gap and share their wisdom with teens still in foster care across the country.
