Yesterday was #NationalWorkingMoms day and exactly two weeks ago I was at AIAA’s ASCENDxTexas where Utilization Manager for the International Space Station, Christie Cox was the opening keynote and shared her why — her son👶🏼 Just the evening prior I had said goodbye to my 15 month old son at the airport to get on a flight for the first time without him since he was born (especially hard sinve we’ve done 19 ✈️ together) to attend this conference. On my way to Austin for the Firefly Aerospace #BlueGhost landing, I stopped in Houston to participate in the AIAA ASCENDxTexas conference. I spoke on a panel with NASA, Intuitive Machines, and Astrolab about the development of lunar infrastructure. I also had the opportunity to meet up with many friends and colleagues, both old and new. Interlune's message of a commercial lunar economy built on resource harvesting is gaining some attention. Let's go to the Moon!

I was honored to represent the Texas Space Commission at the AIAA #AscendxTX Conference last week in League City, where our Executive Director Norman Garza, Jr. provided an update on "Texas: The State of Space", and Texas State Representative Greg Bonnen aptly noted that there are two countries leading the charge in lunar exploration: one of them is Japan and the other is Texas!!
