The Preliminary Budget for Miami-Dade County's FY 2024-25 proposes a reduction of $2.479 million for the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs. The 38th edition of the International Hispanic Theater Festival of Miami (IHTF) kicks off on Thursday, July 11 at the Westchester Cultural Arts Center in Tropical Park. Opening with "Orgia" by Spanish group La Rara, the festival features powerful intimate stories of abducted and battered women. This lineup of 11 productions from Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico, Spain, the United States, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, and Uruguay, running through Sunday, August 4.
