Amy Badain is a dedicated leader in the Las Vegas community and co-director of Once Upon a Room at Sunrise Hospital, transforming hospital rooms into welcoming spaces for families in need. As a freelance professional organizer, Amy brings order and harmony to homes. She is strongly committed to youth development and has served as a Girl Scout leader and education advocate. Walter Flores-Aguirre moved from El Salvador 15 years ago and has built a successful career in finance and consulting. He empowers teens with career skills and actively participates in community service and DEI efforts. Jeff Mochal is the SVP of Global Corporate Communication at MGM Resorts International. He leads strategic positioning, crisis communication, and corporate social responsibility initiatives. With a rich background at LPL Financial, McDonald's, ConAgra Foods, and Hardee's, Jeff brings a wealth of experience to his role. He holds a bachelor's in English from the University of Northern Iowa and an MBA from Notre Dame.

What an amazing accolade for the DISCOVERY Children's Museum.
We are honored to be one of four non-profit recipients to receive the inaugural Yawa' Award by San Manuel Band of Mission Indians Gaming and Hospitality Authority at Palms Casino Resort. Yawa' is a simple word that describes a complex concept: a smile, a hearty handshake, a kind word. These are the building blocks from which Yawa' springs forth. Yawa' also comes from the heart, from the actions and intentions, from beliefs held since time immemorial. To the Yuhaaviatam, Yawa' is a call to manifest one's beliefs through actions. The Yawa' Award is an encased Serrano gourd rattle created by the San Manuel youth. Singing has always played an integral role in the lives of the Serrano people, and unlike other American Indian musicians, traditional Serrano musicians do not use drums for rhythm. Instead, they fashion a guard rattles with palm tree seeds inside to make percussive sounds.
