We're thrilled to announce a significant milestone for the Richmond community — we have officially broken ground on the Ashland Emergency Center in our Richmond, Virginia market. This state-of-the-art facility, set to open in 2026, will dramatically enhance access to critical emergency care and advanced imaging services, including CT and MRI, right in the heart of Hanover County. Our leaders and associates were joined by dedicated town and county representatives to mark the beginning of this transformative project. Together, we're bringing 24/7 emergency services closer to home for our neighbors, ensuring that when seconds count, help is never far away. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue building a healthier future for our community!

We’re working to build health equity in the communities we serve as a part of our Mission. Our efforts have been recognized by The Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA) as part of their We Are Called health equity pledge. CHA visited BSMH to produce a video highlighting how we’re addressing the systemic causes of health disparities among underserved and vulnerable populations and how we’re improving our own diversity from our boards to leadership and associates as a part of that work. The video features Odesa Stapleton, chief Diversity and Inclusion officer, Wael Haidar MD MBA, chief medical officer, Uyon Johnson, system director, Diversity and Inclusion, and Jill Jansen, director, Government and External Relations. Watch the video to learn more about how we’re elevating equity through our diversity, equity and inclusion work: https://lnkd.in/efsDEgUh
