New York’s power sector should be included in its economy-wide Cap-and-Invest program to meet CLCPA goals. #CarbonFreeNY

About us

Carbon Free New York (CFNY) is a coalition of like-minded organizations, including generators, developers, environmental organizations, and labor unions, dedicated to ensuring New York leads the nation in clean energy by decarbonizing its electricity sector via a Cap-and-Invest program to achieve the goals set forth in the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA). They advocate for the inclusion of the power sector in the state’s program to ensure polluters pay for their emissions, thereby accelerating the transition to a clean energy future.
