“Children are learning to design their collective futures, and their creations provide opportunities for their families to get a better understanding of what their child is working on and learning at school, and celebrate those learnings.” In our latest blog, Azadeh Jamalian, Ph.D. and her team at The GIANT Room share what it looks like to build a #tech-powered instructional core that puts #students, #families, and communities at the center of designing and learning from the latest technological shifts in #education. In partnership with Laina Vlasnik Yip of Robinhood and the Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop. #edtech

Relationships + ideas + action = impact. That is our formula for making real lasting change in public education, and the power in the room at our recent gathering could not have been clearer or more inspiring. The words of Columbia Law School Dean Daniel Abebe, Rhode Island Department of Education Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green, and CPRL Executive Director Elizabeth Chu shed light on what we do, why we do it, and how we are solving challenges together with our partners. Hear their remarks and learn more in our latest blog. https://lnkd.in/gnQbD7mZ

The K-12 education sector is at a crossroads. As generative #AI and other emerging technologies transform what and how young people learn, they also hold promise to more deeply engage #families as partners. But, fast-paced and unfamiliar, technological shifts in education also threaten to distance families from their children’s #school and learning experiences. This new playbook, based on the work of dozens of NYC education organizations and systems, offers guidance for schools and systems to create an instructional core that leverages technology and human connections and strengthens educator-family-community relationships. There's a lot to learn from this case study on cross-sector partnerships.
We're excited to release a case study, "Pathways to Partnership: How Cross-Sector Collaboration Can Increase Impact," developed in collaboration with the Center for Public Research and Leadership (CPRL) at Columbia University. Achieve Atlanta creates cross-sector partnerships that drive positive outcomes for Atlanta Public Schools students and Achieve Atlanta Scholars. The case study details our model's unique cross-sector collaboration component—working with college access, affordability, and success partners to achieve outcomes that no single organization could accomplish alone. The case study illustrates how Achieve Atlanta partners with different sectors and how that is critical to its mission and enables a bigger impact. Even though the partnerships are different, they all have some things in common: ✅ Alignment in mission, values, and goals ✅ Collective accountability through data and continuous improvement practices ✅ A relationship-centered approach that builds trust and spurs innovative solutions to barriers students face Learn more: https://lnkd.in/e4ZTbspG #BelieveExpectAchieve #AchieveAtlanta #PartneringforImpact #PartnershipModels
