If you work in the UK have your say ... fill in the online survey. We need fair public procurement opportunities for Chartered ATs everywhere.
📢 Fair public procurement opportunities for Chartered Architectural Technologists CIAT is advocating for fairer public sector procurement processes to ensure all competent professionals, regardless of title, can tender for work on a level playing field. We know some Chartered Architectural Technologists have been excluded from tendering due to title-based restrictions, limiting competition and opportunities. To understand the extent of this issue, CIAT is conducting a public sector procurement survey. It closes on 29 January. 📝 Take part here: https://lnkd.in/ejhtBjjq Your input is essential—whether or not you regularly bid for public projects.
A message from the CIAT ROI Centre Committee Chair - an exciting year ahead for architectural technologists!

Happy New Year to all my connections and followers - from a snowy Kerry! 2025 is set to be a significant year for Architectural Technology in the Republic of Ireland. CIAT will be celebrating its 60th Anniversary and the CIAT Republic of Ireland Centre are delighted to be hosting the Institute's AGM & 60th Celebratory event in Dublin between 21-23 November 2025. Plans are already well underway for the AGM and associated events taking place over that weekend. Reflecting on 2024, I'm encouraged by the increase in membership in the Republic of Ireland and the engagement from members, affiliates and AGBCs. This demonstrates the value of professional recognition for Architectural Technologists in what is an ever-evolving construction industry, with skills in digital construction, regulatory compliance, energy efficiency and conservation critical in delivering projects of all scales. Please continue to engage with the Republic of Ireland Centre Committee, be it myself or my fellow committee members (https://lnkd.in/eq64KeXi) and I hope to meet you in the coming year, particularly at our General Business Meeting in March and at the Institute AGM in November.

🚨 Calling all industry contacts 🚨 I am currently preparing for Semester 2 and keen to hear from industry practitioners who would be interesting in contributing to Revit workshop/s, sharing your knowledge, experience and good practice in model authoring in Revit. If this would be of interest please let me know. ✨This worked fantastically well last year and really enriched the sessions, so I would like to continue building the momentum ✨
The Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science together with BuildingHeroesIrl have produced a documentary to promote the vast range of Careers in Construction. The aim is to dispel perceptions of the sector, show what a career in construction is really like, and attract young people into the sector. Please share the documentaries with the young people in your life.
