About us
Building on a lifetime of public service, President Clinton established the Clinton Foundation on the simple belief that everyone deserves a chance to succeed, everyone has a responsibility to act, and we all do better when we work together. For more than two decades, those values have energized the Foundation’s efforts to address big challenges, create new opportunities, and make a difference in people’s lives across the United States and around the world. As an operating foundation, our programs and the partnerships we build work to expand economic opportunity, improve public health, confront the climate crisis, and inspire citizen engagement and service. The Foundation also operates the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock, which enhances these efforts by providing year-round educational and cultural programming and is home to the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum.

I’m thrilled to celebrate 20 years of putting people first at the Clinton Presidential Center! In this month's Little Rock Soirée, Dr. Chelsea Clinton, Vice-chair of the Clinton Foundation, reflects on the positive impact we've made through our enriching and dynamic educational and cultural programming – and reminds us that this is just the beginning! Leading our work at the Clinton Center alongside my wonderful colleagues at the Clinton Foundation, Clinton School of Public Service, and Clinton Presidential Library has been a tremendous honor. And I believe there are “no limits” to our future potential. Read more from Little Rock Soirée: bit.ly/3zCctF8

#OnThisDay in 2014, we gathered at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. to announce the Presidential Leadership Scholars program. President George W. Bush and President Bill Clinton took the stage to share about the historic, first-of-its-kind initiative between four presidential centers that would develop and support our nation’s next generation of changemakers. Over the last decade, the bipartisan program has welcomed more than 500 bold leaders – who are committed to solving our greatest challenges, both domestically and around the world – into the PLS network. Watch the conversation between President George W. Bush and President Bill Clinton from Sept. 8, 2014, at the link below. #PLScholars https://lnkd.in/gsEQA3WR George W. “Ten years ago, all of us involved in the program had the highest of hopes, but none of us knew where the PLS journey would take us. What I’ve learned along the way is that we are taking a dramatically different approach to leadership development.” Continue reading as PLS Co-Director Mike Hemphill shares learnings after 10 years of #PLScholars: https://lnkd.in/gSngvzUx George W. 🎉 Have you heard the news? Our partners at the LaundryCares Foundation have won the Library of Congress’ David M. Rubenstein Prize for Literacy! What started a decade ago as a simple Clinton Global Initiative Commitment to Action has grown into an award-winning partnership with Too Small to Fail, our early childhood initiative, and so many others. Together, we’ve turned hundreds of laundromats into special places where families can connect through books, conversations, and songs. Huge congratulations to LaundryCares! Thank you for turning everyday moments into meaningful experiences for families across the nation. https://lnkd.in/enVu3qAi

Twenty-five years ago, the world witnessed a win for democracy and peace through NATO's intervention in Kosovo. Under President Bill Clinton’s leadership, a group of allies took a stand against oppression, ultimately laying the groundwork for Kosovo’s journey to independence. Ambassador Nancy Soderberg recently highlighted how the discussions on military action and international cooperation from a generation ago are still relevant today. As we tackle new global issues in 2024, the lessons from Kosovo remind us that unity and partnership are necessary for lasting peace. Here are a few key takeaways: • Diplomacy and Strength: The success of NATO's 1999 campaign highlights how combining diplomatic efforts with a unified, forceful stance can build peace while effectively addressing conflict. • Guarding Against Nationalism: The dangers of extreme nationalism were evident then and are resurfacing now. The “us vs. them” rhetoric threatens to undermine trust in our institutions and global stability. • Value of Alliances: The rise of isolationism and decrease in support for global allies emphasizes the need for continued commitment to alliances like NATO. Today, with the spread of misinformation and escalating nationalism, it’s important to remember that democracy and global cooperation are not a guarantee. They require solidarity and active engagement from each of us. Read the entirety of Ambassador Soderberg’s op-ed: https://lnkd.in/e8ZspiqQ
