COSCO SHIPPING Specialized's semi-submersible heavy lift ship, “Kang Sheng Kou” has successfully completed the transportation of the “Atalanti” Cable Lay Vessel from Karlskrona, Sweden to New York, USA. Once the “Atalanti” campaign is complete the KSK will return to New York to transport the “Atalanti” to its next destination.
The world's largest #green car vessel started its maiden voyage to Europe today!
"Liao He Kou" and her sister "Min Jiang Kou" are currently the world's largest RoRo vessels, offering space for 7,500 vehicles on 13 decks including 4 liftable decks.
Thanks to #LNG dual-fuel power and multiple advanced green environmental protection technologies, it is designed to meet the strict TIER III emission standards of the International Maritime Organization and will significantly save energy and reduce emissions during operation.
Compared with traditional fuel oil RoRo vessels, it can save about 20% of energy consumption, reduce about 27% of carbon emissions, 30% of nitrogen oxide emissions, 99% of sulfide emissions and more than 90% of PM particulate matter emissions.
Taking a typical China-Europe round-trip voyage as an example, using LNG as an alternative fuel can reduce CO₂ emissions by more than 2,100 tons per voyage, which is equivalent to the amount of CO₂ absorbed by 10,000 adult trees in 20 years.
At the dock, brand new commercial vehicles from brands such as #BAIC, #Liuzhou Motor, BYD, and CHERY were slowly loaded onto the new RoRo vessel for their journey to Europe.
The new vessels can monitor the status and precise positioning of vehicles in real-time throughout the entire transportation process, which enables us to provide a visualized experience of the entire chain of the automobile logistics supply chain for our customers, including monitoring the temperature and vehicle condition in the cabin, provide high temperature warnings and ultra-high temperature alarms.
In view of the large-scale and heavy characteristics of new energy vehicles, the 3-ton special lashing straps for car ships developed by Yuanhai Car Ship and Ship Technology Engineering Co., Ltd. have been awarded two Chinese patent certificates for "Appearance Design" and "Utility Model", filling the gap in 3-ton special lashing straps for car ships, providing a wider range of applications for ship loading, significantly improving operational efficiency, and strongly supporting the large-scale export of new energy vehicles.
