Three years ago, I had a vision: create a space where the creator economy could truly come alive in NYC. What started as a small meetup has blossomed into a vibrant community of 6,000+ creators through Creator Economy NYC. But I've always dreamed bigger. And so, today, I'm thrilled to announce: CONNECT — a unique, day-long conference with our friends at Teachable. Our FIRST ever conference. This isn't just another industry event with PowerPoints and business cards. Yuck. This is a full day where creators come together to share experiences, build real relationships, and craft the future of their businesses. We're taking the digital world offline, because the most powerful connections happen when creators and builders share the same space. It will be a day of meaningful talks, interactive workshops, and plenty of connection — created by creators, for creators. With the same great vibe you've come to expect at every CENYC event. I couldn't think of a better partner than Teachable for this vision. Because they get it. They understand that sustainable creator businesses are built on genuine connections and powerful education. Together, we're building an experience that embodies what Creator Economy NYC has always stood for: "where the creator economy connects, learns, and thrives." Mark your calendars. The future of the creator economy is being shaped, and it's happening right here in NYC. Get on the list to receive updates about programming, speakers, and registration: https://lnkd.in/eXuu7Tcm See you on May 10th in NYC.

We are kicking off our FIRST event of 2025 with something special for our NYC creator economy in partnership with Teachable! Our community is coming together for a night of big ideas, connections, and honest conversations about what's next in 2025. Because let's be real — as creators, we all have big goals for scaling this year, and we're stronger when we build together. And to fuel those ambitions? We've got an incredible panel of NYC creators who've mastered (or are in the process of) turning their content into multiple revenue streams: 🟡 Erin McGoff 🟠 Jessica Morrobel 🔵 Zachary Neman 🟢 Olivia Owens They'll be sharing their journey of scaling what's already working — because who doesn't want to work smarter, not harder in 2025? Plus... a very special announcement you won't want to miss (more on that AT the event). Mark your calendar: Tuesday, Jan 28 | 6:30-9:30pm RSVP 👉 https://lu.ma/3545gbie

Two years ago, I was sitting in my apartment, staring at yet another Zoom screen, when I had enough. I'm in the greatest city on earth with a (semi-reliable) subway system — why am I stuck behind screens? The creator economy was booming, but something was missing: real human connection. So I took a leap. Found a space at a bar around the corner from me in the Lower East Side, put out the word on Partiful, and hoped a few people would show up. That Wednesday night, 15 of us gathered IRL, sharing stories, challenges, and ideas over drinks. I had no idea I was starting something that would change the landscape of NYC's creator economy (and beyond). Thus, Creator Economy NYC was born. Looking at these photos — from that first casual meetup to our latest event with Shopify drawing 200+ people – I'm humbled by how far we've come. CENYC has grown from an informal bar meetup to a premier hub in the creator economy, hosting flagship events with partners like Teachable, Notion and Shopify. But what moves me most isn't the growth in numbers or the partnerships. It's the countless messages from members who found a collaborator at our events, launched their channel after a conversation at our mixers, or simply found their people in this wild creator economy journey. That's what CENYC was always meant to be. A place where collaboration trumps competition, where every member's win is a community win. Two years in, and we're just getting started. 2025 brings bigger events, deeper partnerships, and a whole new slate of educational resources. Thank you for being part of this story — from those first 15 to everyone who's joined us along the way. Here's to many more years of building, connecting, and thriving together. The greatest city in the world deserves nothing less. Year 3, let's go.

While I might be building Creator Economy NYC, our community stretches from coast to coast. And right now, my heart is heavy knowing thousands in our LA community are facing devastating wildfires. To those on the West Coast: we're thinking of you, and we're here to support however we can. One of our amazing community members, Liza Wong, has compiled some crucial resources for those wanting to help (and can do so immediately), so I wanted to share that here: For influencers & brands: If you have unopened PR items (toiletries, feminine hygiene products, clothing), please contact Liza Wong via DM or via email liza@luckyonetalent.com. Most needed items: 👉 Clothing: Shirts, new underwear, new socks, jackets, gently used shoes 👉 Hygiene products: Toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant 👉 Blankets & bedding: Blankets, pillows, sleeping bags 👉 Comfort items: Books, playing cards, games Support links: L.A. GoFundMe Master List (direct support for impacted individuals): https://lnkd.in/ePVfxU_u LAFD Emergency Wildfire Funding (supporting firefighters with essential equipment): https://lnkd.in/eEu6eT3y Firefighter Meals (donate meals to firefighters, 2x daily): https://lnkd.in/eKbTqAdk Anything is appreciated, and even just sharing this resource list with someone else in our community goes a long way. LA, stay safe! We're thinking of you 💛 🧡 💙

2024 taught us two powerful lessons about success in the creator economy: 1. Who you want to become matters more than what you want to do 2. Consistency beats perfection, every single time As we kick off 2025, we're sharing the exact frameworks that helped us build Creator Economy NYC and maintain a 52-week newsletter streak. No fluff, just proven systems: The Goal Setting Guide for Creators (transform your 2025 goals by starting with identity, not just tasks): 👉 Grab it here: https://lnkd.in/ervhKhC5 The Accountability System for Creators (the simple Progress Rings method we used to stay consistent for 52 straight weeks): 👉 Grab it here: https://lnkd.in/eW3rb6bX Don't just set goals for 2025. Alright y'all - first full week of 2025. And 'circle back' week is in full effect. Hope everyone's easing in okay (those inboxes tho 😅). Been sitting on some creator economy predictions, and it's time to share what I think is coming next. Not your typical "AI will change everything" predictions (spoiler: it will) — these are patterns I'm seeing unfold IRL through Creator Economy NYC events, building Siftsy 💬 and working with creators at Kickstarter. Three key predictions (plus a bonus) based on countless conversations with creators, marketers, and industry leaders who are doing the work. Swipe to see what's IN and what's OUT for 2025. And bookmark this... let's check back in December to see what I got right (and what I whiffed on). Agree? What predictions would you add?

AmandaRachLee, creator and founder of her own stationery brand, shared with us a major lesson from her journey: One year, her entire bulk order of planners came back with misprints. Instead of seeing it as a disaster, she pivoted, branding them as “Oops Planners” and selling them at a discount. The results? 1️⃣ Fans loved the accessibility of a lower-priced, unique version. 2️⃣ Nothing went to waste. 3️⃣ Transparency with her audience built trust and loyalty. Amanda turned a misstep into a standout moment — and a limited-edition product her fans loved. Mistakes don’t have to break your business — they can build your brand.
