The devastation caused by Hurricane Helene has left many Western North Carolina families without basic necessities like power, water, and heat. As temperatures drop, the need for warm clothing, blankets, and other essentials becomes even more critical. Our hearts go out to those impacted by this devastating event. At Crisis Assistance Ministry, we're committed to helping our neighbors in need. We're providing relief by collecting essential cold weather gear, such as coats, hats, gloves, and blankets. Your generous donations will help keep families warm and give a sense of comfort during this difficult time. Please help us show our support for our neighbors in Western North Carolina by donating winter essentials at our Donation Drive Thru or spreading the word about this urgent need.

Just like a perfectly brewed cup of coffee, this #Starbucks team has brought warmth and energy to Crisis Assistance Ministry. Their dedication to sorting and hanging items for our neighbors is as inspiring as the aroma of freshly ground beans. Their positive energy has filled our building with the same uplifting spirit that a great cup of coffee can provide. Thank you for all your hard work!

Our team came together in a beautiful celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. We were inspired by the stories shared, the traditions honored, and the sense of community that filled the room. A special thanks to our staff committee for organizing such a meaningful event that brought us closer together and enriched our understanding of different cultures. "Hispanic Heritage Month is a way to represent the diversity of the Hispanic population that lives in the USA. It is also a new opportunity to express our culture to our peers." Esteban Flores (Staff Member- Materials Coordinator)

We are thrilled to share the incredible work of the Lowe's Companies, Inc. team volunteers during their Week of Service! They generously assembled emergency kits for families served here, distributed nutritious snack packs to those waiting for financial assistance, and diligently inspected and prepared donated clothing for the Free Store. Their efforts have made a significant positive impact on our community. Thank you, Lowe’s volunteers, for your service and compassion.

Mariagrazia was a hardworking individual facing a challenging situation. After suffering a debilitating injury and experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19, Mariagrazia was in dire need of support. Thanks to the collaboration with one of our partner agencies, the Latin American Coalition, she received emergency financial assistance to stay housed and cover essential expenses until she could return to work. Stories like Mariagrazia's remind us of the importance of compassion and community. https://buff.ly/3XxiT06
