Elroy Air

It was an honor and an opportunity to represent Elroy Air along with my colleague Amisha Prakash the exclusive Red Queen Event last week in sunny Pescadero, CA. The roster of dual-use entrepreneurs, investors, and government defense leaders in attendance was impressive - this type of small-group event makes space for plenty of deep discussions that I believe will be valuable to the US and our collaborations with allies. On a personal note, I read Steve Blank's early and seminal book "The Four Steps to the Epiphany" ~15 years ago, and have found his ideas to be useful guiding principles for startups. It was a big treat to re-connect!

Watch one of our 1/3-scale subscale Chaparrals cruising at Byron Airport. Elroy Air founder and CEO David Merrill shared the video adding: “These subscale vehicles are smaller, dynamically scaled representations of the Chaparral C1. We use them to test aircraft handling qualities as we make controls, avionics, and flight software updates before running these changes on the full-scale C1 aircraft. Last month, our team had the opportunity to fly the Chaparral at the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Grounds. In 100 degree temperatures, our team flew the Chaparral and demonstrated its cargo handling capabilities as a system that could autonomously resupply forward-deployed ground forces for the U.S. Marine Corps.  #cargodrones #hVTOL #logistics
