During Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate the contributions and culture of the Hispanic and Latinx community. Miguel Suarez, Sales Director, leads the FGX Commercial Sales team for Latin America based out of our Mexico City office. This month he joined us to reflect on the month's significance as a time of celebration, reflecting and reinforcing his pride in his roots and the history of community. "It allows for the elevation of voices, stories and achievements that might otherwise be overlooked, providing a space to embrace and celebrate diverse traditions, histories, and values and shared them worldwide." This month, our teams took the opportunity to learn more about the national holidays celebrated throughout the year such as, Independence Day and Day of the Dead, along with notable figures who have made a cultural impact on society, media and the arts, showcasing the country's rich heritage. Miguel shares, "I enjoy engaging with events that celebrate traditional music, art, dance, and food. There’s a sense of unity and pride in sharing our heritage with the wider community. At home, I also embrace this month by connecting with my cultural roots by cooking traditional dishes and learning about influential Latinx figures in all areas of the past and present." #WeAreFGX

As we celebrate #WorldSightDay, we recap last month's final vision clinic of the year in partnership with OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation. Members of our NYC FGX team participated in the two-day vision clinic held at the Rev. T. Wendell Foster Recreation Center in Bronx, New York City. Foster Grant partnered with the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation team and The Fresh Air Fund to provide eye exams and prescription glasses to over 50 children and adults in the community. We were proud to donate Foster Grant sunglasses to clinic participants who did not require prescription glasses, helping them keep their eyes protected and feeling their best. #WeAreFGX

Earlier this summer, Sofia Vergara hosted a summer party with Walmart at Casa Cielo in Beverly Hills, showcasing her current and fall collection with the retailer. Our team created a Foster Grant experience and gifting station which displayed our Sofia Vergara x Foster Grant collection. Attendees, including social media influencers, were able to choose from 8 styles to wear, take home, and share with their followers! #WeAreFGX
