Communication - Public Relations Major at University of Delaware Double minor in Advertising and Event Management

Over the summer, I had the privilege of interning at Fisher Public Relations in addition to the Rockleigh Country Club. My time at this exceptional boutique agency was incredibly educational and significant in my professional development. I was able to expand my knowledge beyond the classroom, alongside industry experts Heather Fisher Gotlib, Sydney Peters and Pauline Balmas. I also gained valuable skills such as planning, researching, list building, and press tracking. Additionally, I got the opportunity to contribute to an in-person PR Event for Borghese, Inc. where I had the pleasure of meeting the inspiring CEO, Dawn Hilarczyk. My primary responsibilities involved welcoming and guiding guests at this exclusive event in New York City. This experience allowed me to network and gain practical experience in my two areas of passion, PR and Event Planning. I am looking forward to applying this newfound knowledge to my future endeavors in Public Relations.

Thank you so much Jill Kravetz and Tara West for having our Founder, Heather Fisher Gotlib, on your Shorts podcast. It was such a blast to be part of sharing our story with you and we couldn't have captured it better ourselves with the below tips for finding success in the PR world! We love to embody these valuable lessons! Thank you, Jill, for the unbelievable opportunity and for thinking of us! 1. Patience is Key: The growing pains are real, but staying patient through the ups and downs is crucial. 🧘 2. Relationships Matter: Strong relationships with media, influencers, and clients are the backbone of PR. Keep them strong and continuously build upon them. Also, having a confidante or coach by your side can be very helpful when you're on your own. 🤝 3. Get Out There: Don’t just be a robot behind the screen. Believe in putting yourself out there—network, meet people, and engage in the real world. You never know what opportunities might arise. ☕️🍪 4. Begrudgingly, Manifesting Works: Heather admits she wasn’t a believer in manifesting at first, but now she’s a convert. She manifested specific goals when she started, and they’ve since come true. 💭 5. Good Karma: Go above and beyond for others. Helping people and spreading good karma can pay off in unexpected ways. ☺️ The episode can be found here: https://lnkd.in/ejntCsKT #PR #Networking #Entrepreneurship #Manifesting #Karma

I'm not one to put people on the spot. But I went for it on our recent episode of Shorts when I was catching up with Heather Fisher Gotlib of Fisher Public Relations, a self-proclaimed "non-agency agency." Heather and her team are the PR powerhouses behind some of the hottest beauty brands, including the TikTok-viral Beachwaver Co. rotating curling iron founded by celeb hairstylist Sarah Potempa. After two years of successfully navigating the PR world on her own, I asked Heather to share some valuable lessons for those considering going solo: 1. She manifested specific goals when she started, and they’ve since come true. 💭 5. Good Karma: Go above and beyond for others. It’s unsurprising that the most popular #beauty and #wellness brands today are also some of the best at creating dynamic visuals that win #socialmedia likes and drive sales conversions. How top brands are accomplishing this, however, is more bespoke, with one strategy gaining popularity across the industry: operating an in-house content or creative studio. “The initial concept [when we opened the studio in March 2021 was to create] a place to inspire, create, and actually film content for campaigns and whatnot,” Kelly Coller, CMO of Haus Labs By Lady Gaga, told Glossy. “We wanted to have more of an open studio space where creators could come and use the studio at any time. So that’s a lovely idea that we still celebrate, but today we use it in more ways.” In this piece by Lexy Lebsack, we also speak to Brent Mitchell, Oshiya Savur of Maesa, Christopher Skinner of Front Row, Julien Bouzitat, and Sarah Potempa of Beachwaver Co.
