At FoodTank events you get all the feels. Delicious & sustainable bites, inspiring conversations, and badass people who actively make the world a better place. As we say at Nature’s Fynd, it feeds my optimism.
We’re here in Park City for the opening of our annual summit All Things Food and Environment During Sundance. We’ve enjoyed meals prepped by the great chefs Jeffrey Ward, derek gherkins, Silver Star Cafe as Chef Eric Gephart & Chef Matt Fox work on lunch. We’ve been enjoying food & drinks from Nature's Fynd, SIMPLi, Nestlé Nespresso SA, Oatly & gearing up to taste gumbo with Chicken of the Sea's "shrimp with purpose." Food Tank President Danielle Nierenberg kicked off the event with a warm welcome, acknowledging the LA wildfires that impacted many attendees on a personal level, and how sustainability storytelling is more important than ever. Filmmaker Josh Tickell, Big Picture Ranch, and Head of Sustainability for Nestlé Nespresso SA, Jessica Padula, talked about the road to more regenerative farms, and the power of film to inspire the transition. Planet FWD CEO Julia Collins insisted that you don’t have to be a CEO to make a difference because “the antidote to apathy is action.” Actor, Producer, and Activist Lakisha May compelled us to speak to people’s hearts, and Steven Jennings, Ahold Delhaize USA, revealed price isn’t the number one reason consumers buy a product, sometimes it’s a company’s storytelling. Stay tuned for more 💚
