We’re big fans of the Inside Reproductive Health podcast (thank you, Griffin Jones!) and especially loved the recent episode featuring Kate Ryder from Maven Clinic, where she discusses the impact of coaching on fertility outcomes. Our perspective on this episode and the vital role of coaches: ✅ A Holistic Care Team: Like Maven, we believe in the immense value of having a coach as part of the broader care team supporting the patient. Coaches play a crucial role in improving patient engagement by offering relatable, empathetic support. They reinforce evidence-based methodologies shared by clinicians, providing check-ins, empathetic feedback, and helping patients stay on track. 🏥 Extending Care Beyond the Clinic: Coaches are particularly valuable in supporting patients between in-person visits. Our health doesn’t adhere to a Monday-Friday, 8-5 schedule, so coaches can offer live or asynchronous support seven days a week. With our OB/GYN and fertility clinic partners, coaches ensure follow-through on next steps—whether it's completing a pre-consult checklist or reminding patients of their Monday 9am ultrasound appointment. We’ve seen no-show rates drop by 78% when coaches are integrated into patients' care plans! 😣 Reducing Stress and Dropout Rates: Most importantly, coaches provide essential emotional and mental wellness support, helping patients stay engaged and reducing fertility treatment dropout rates. The fertility journey is filled with challenges, and coaches help patients feel less alone and more understood along the way. Coaches are a critical piece of the puzzle in improving patient retention and outcomes at every stage of the journey. We’re thrilled to see their impact highlighted in this podcast by one of our favorite partners in the space. Onwards, together! Please find the episode link in comments.

Kudos to Nurx from Thirty Madison for their insightful report on reproductive rights and health. These critical topics demand our attention now more than ever. This report spotlights some of the very real challenges and gaps in women's healthcare, which we see every day at Frame: -Anxiety levels are at an all-time high. For those on their fertility journey (like our Frame patients), this is just stress compounded. -In particular, over 50% are anxious about in-person reproductive/sexual care, and more than one-third are using telehealth for their needs. To reiterate: telehealth is a necessity for women and beyond. -More than 25% have delayed preventative care, which means a greater potential for missed diagnoses, poor health, and bad outcomes. At-home screening has to be part of the equation. It's going to take all of us to continue surfacing how the political climate and world events are impacting health, especially for women. Thank you to the team at Nurx for bringing these issues front and center!

Thank you Emily Zhen, Chelsea Schlacks, and Sarah-Almaza Cox for recognizing Frame as a leader in women’s health innovation. By partnering with providers, we've demonstrated how our collaborative approach drives improved clinical outcomes, increased patient satisfaction, and greater efficiency for clinicians. While progress has been made, the significant gap in funding, research, and care delivery is undeniable. Only 2% of venture funding in healthcare goes to women’s health. At Frame, we're committed to being a key innovator in closing this gap. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/ga_w-azG #womenshealth #digitalhealth #healthcareinnovation #fertility

    Principal at Zeal Capital Partners

The momentum in women's health innovation is picking up. The White House announced $100M of funding dedicated to women's health in February, while private investments in women's health continue to increase, even in a tougher funding market (VC investment in women's health has increased 314% over the last 5 years, outpacing the 28% rise in healthcare overall) Excited to share this women's health collaborative thought piece that Chelsea Schlacks, Sarah-Almaza Cox, and I wrote outlining key themes and tactical takeaways for building in women's health. We drew from our reflections from a NYC Women's Health Dinner we co-hosted in April, the NYSE Women's Health Summit featuring First Lady Jill Biden, and inspiring founders and innovators working tirelessly to improve women's health. Huge thank you to Tina Keshani (Seven Starling), Jessica Bell van der Wal (Frame), Maya Hardigan (Mae), Leslie Gautam (Harmonia Healthcare), Stephanie Winans, MBA (Iron Health) for sharing your insights, and to all of the lightning talk speakers and attendees at our dinner in April. We are inspired by each of you. If you are building or investing in women’s health, we would love to hear from you! Women’s health is one of our core investment focus areas at Zeal Capital Partners. “We are recognizing that declining fertility rates is a [global] public health crisis. And so we have to wake up to the reality that if we don’t start making this process easier, it is going to have sweeping ramifications, not just on the individual or couple that obviously is trying to have a child, but on our society overall.” - Jessica Bell van der Wal Thank you to Avalere for having this important conversation with our CEO about the future of fertility care. Frame is bridging the gap between patients and providers through our comprehensive virtual care platform that extends in-person support, improves outcomes and enhances the overall experience. Our deep-rooted collaboration with OB/GYNs, PCPs and REIs ensures that Frame seamlessly integrates into existing care pathways. By focusing on patient needs and provider efficiency, we're building a stronger healthcare ecosystem together.
