As the genesis for business in Georgia, the Secretary of State helps entrepreneurs and business owners start new ventures by registering every new corporation, LLC, and LP in the state. As the oversight body for professional licensing boards, the Secretary of State ensures that Georgia’s vocational workers have the training and resources to pursue high-paying jobs in leading industries. And as the administrator of Georgia’s elections, the Secretary of State facilitates voter registration, election certification, and candidate qualification – so that voters have the liberty to elect leaders and pursue progress at the ballot box.

This week our team at SOS conducted an amazing training event for Georgia Election Officials. I presented in front of hundreds of officials for the first time. I'll be honest, this was way out of my comfort zone. However, it was a challenge I was looking forward to, and a skill I want to continue to strengthen. I want to thank Nick Northen for giving me this challenge and being there with constant support and encouragement. I want to also thank Savannah R. for being an awesome presenting partner (sadly I didn't get any pictures of our joint presentations!) and all of my colleagues and leadership who made this event happen. Lastly, a big thanks to all of the county officials who gave me many kind words each time I presented.
