I had the opportunity last week to attend the Geosyntec Consultants conference in Raleigh, NC, bringing together over 100 of the brightest minds in risk assessment and groundwater remediation. The event was designed to foster learning, spark innovative ideas, and enhance collaboration among our talented teams. From thought-provoking sessions on the latest environmental challenges to in-depth discussions about risk assessment strategies, this conference was a valuable way to strengthen our collective expertise. I am grateful to work for an organization that prioritizes innovation, learning, and teamwork. I look forward to seeing the new ideas and solutions that will emerge as a result of these powerful collaborations.

Today was another successful volunteer stream cleanup for the Geosyntec Consultants Raleigh office! Since November 2023, we have removed more than 40 bags of trash, fire extinguishers, tires, scrap metal, and computers from our adopted stream segment at Marsh Creek Park as part of the City of Raleigh Municipal Government stream cleanup program. Below are some photos from our cleanups the past two years. Looking forward to our next one in the fall!

it was a great privilege to represent both Geosyntec Consultants and SiREM Lab at NICOLE in Frankfurt yesterday presenting on the use of PFASsive samplers Brent G. Pautler (excuse the action shot). It was fantastic to hear about the research undertaken by PROMISCES and to hear Johan De Fraye talk about the important work of the NICOLE Foundation which is worthy of much more industry support.
