Thanks to our partnership with the New York State Office for the Aging (NYSOFA), Lauri has found GetSetUp to be a lifeline in her recovery from a stroke and battle with depression. From art to technology classes, Lauri has completed over 50 sessions, which have sparked joy and given her a sense of purpose. 🎨💻 “The classes help me come back from a really stressful mess and get my mind on something else, getting out of my depression a little bit,” Lauri shared. GetSetUp’s flexibility has been essential for her healing. It allows her to rewatch classes as she recovers and continue building valuable skills like online safety and nutrition to support her health. No one wants to worry about making ends meet as one moves out of an active career and goes into the stage of active aging and all things enjoyable.
