This summer, we welcomed several talented architecture students—Ashleigh, Isabella, Jonah, Ke-An, and Sanskruti—into our studios. In addition to collaborating with project teams and visiting job sites, each intern undertook an independent research project. Topics included sound design, library evolution, intergenerational architecture, resilience vs. sustainability in wildfire-prone areas, and sustainable concrete. Our interns' contributions have enriched our practice and highlighted the future of architecture. Learn more about each intern's research here: https://lnkd.in/esTWVgte

We want to thank Hennebery Eddy Architects for sponsoring the 2024 ANCA Annual Summit last month. By supporting professional development and collaboration in our field, Hennebery Eddy’s sponsorship helps organizations nationwide stay true to their mission of connecting people with nature. As part of Summit programs, Hennebery Eddy Vice President and Principal Will Ives and Associate Principal Erica Thompson led an informative workshop on how nature centers can plan for sustainable building and renovations. This topic is of great interest to our members, as many organizations are looking to demonstrate sustainability in all aspects of their operations and facilities. Hennebery Eddy Architects includes an expansive team of architects, planners, interior designers, and preservationists who create spaces where people gather, work, learn, and recreate. With studios in Portland and Bend, Oregon, and Bozeman, Montana, Hennebery Eddy serves clients nationwide. Thank you, Hennebery Eddy! Join us in celebrating associate Nick Sackos, who has been selected as a member of the Leadership Bend Class of 2025! This program cultivates and connects diverse leaders dedicated to positively impacting Central Oregon through civic engagement and service. "As an architect living and working in Bend, I believe understanding as much as possible about our context, people, and culture is the best way to inform design solutions that result in better design, spaces, and experiences for those using them. I’m looking forward to this opportunity to be a part of the Leadership Bend class, learn as much as possible, and get more engaged outside of my work in the broader community. Off to a good start already!" - Nick Sackos Nick is a Project Architect for the City of Bend Public Works Campus, a progressive design-build project with Kirby Nagelhout Construction Company. #LeadershipBend #Classof2025 #CommunityLeadership #CivicEngagement #CentralOregon #LeadershipDevelopment #FutureLeaders #Bend
