Today, Inspiration is closed in observance of Juneteenth. We recognize the importance of this solemn observance of the final end of slavery in the United States on June 19, 1865. The holiday is important for so many reasons but especially to us as a company headquartered in Washington, DC. If you didn’t know, DC is a historically black city, and where the abolition of slavery began back in April 1862. Whether or not you have the day off, we encourage you to expand your knowledge of and reflect on why this holiday is so important.
