Want to know more about integrating access control in your facility? Check out Matt Harper RCDD Harper’s interview for FacilitiesNet, where he shares his insights on access control systems for integrated security planning. Access control and intrusion detection are the big drivers in security today, and with advancements in technology, managers have numerous options to choose from to meet the needs of their facilities. Unlike video surveillance, access control puts the emphasis on the front end, ideally heading off trouble instead of responding to it. Busy facility managers are often charged with developing comprehensive security plans, sometimes even taking on a security role in addition to their managerial responsibilities. Access control systems can provide a more efficient and effective way for managers to help ensure the security of their facility and keep occupants safe. Join us in celebrating National Wildland Firefighter Day and honoring the hard work and sacrifices of those on the frontlines who risk their lives every day to fight wildland fires.   Firefighters respond to tens of thousands of wildland fires every year, which have become increasingly larger and more complex due to drought and increased growth of the wildland-urban interface. Despite the difficult conditions and physically challenging work, thousands of firefighters, fire support staff, contractors and volunteers bravely put themselves in harm’s way to combat these fires and protect life, property and natural resources.   National Wildland Firefighter Day serves as an opportunity to recognize these individuals for their professional efforts, remember those who have lost their lives in the line of duty and renew our commitment to wildland firefighter safety. At Jensen Hughes, our team is committed to supporting the resiliency of people, properties, assets and operations through an increasingly complex range of hazards, risks and vulnerabilities due to wildland fires.
