Joy's House is partnering with American Senior Communities to enhance Caregiver Way, our vital resource for caregivers! Launched in September 2024, this collaboration expands access to essential support as we both celebrate 25 years of serving the Indianapolis community in 2025. With 53 million caregivers nationwide contributing over $600 billion in unpaid care, it’s crucial we provide them with the resources they need. Caregiver Way is more than a website; it’s a hub for Trusted Information, Meaningful Connections, and Self-awareness. As Stacey Cain, ASC Director of Public Relations, shares, “We are proud to partner with Caregiver Way and recognize the tremendous value this new platform will bring to families.” Together, we're committed to supporting caregivers every step of the way!

Final day at the 49th annual USAging Conference & Tradeshow and it was CICOA's busiest! We started the day with Wrinkle Innovation's participation in The Technology Lab, a new addition to the conference. Duett, Humaniti, Joy's House Adult Day Service Caregiver Way, and Twain Health gathered in an intimate setting to show and tell attendees the transformative solutions and technology innovations that address some of the Aging Network’s most pressing challenges, including health system integration, social isolation, caregiver support and other virtual/technology health care solutions. CICOA-led workshops today included: 1) Kelsey Chance, Director of Data & Research, along with Ellen Burton, Executive Director of University of Indianapolis Center for Aging & Community, presented “Leveraging University Partnerships To Transform AAA Programs Through Evaluation.” The CICOA/UIndy collaboration illustrated the impact of CICOA as an organization on its clients and the community. 2) President & CEO Tauhric Brown presented “Health and Social Care Systems Integration: Revenue Opportunities to Pursue,” an exploration of the major programs and types of funders, the services they are paying for, and the emerging business lines AAAs should be paying attention to in the integrated care landscape. 3) Way2Go Transportation team of Director Karren Brooks and Billing Specialist Sarah Cranford shared their experience with “My Freedom Transportation: Addressing The Gap in Cross-County Transportation” and the partnership with the Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority (CIRTA). 4) Allie Overett, Registered Dietitian, co-presented “Fighting Food Insecurity: Free Produce and Better Health for Older Hoosiers” with Stacy Kahre, Director of Operations for Generations (Indiana Area 13), and Kristen LaEace, CEO of Indiana Association of AAAs. They led a Q&A session about the successful implementation of the statewide Produce for Better Health Program for food insecure older adults at high risk for chronic health conditions. It was a great week to be #CICOAStrong at #USAging24!
