Congratulations to Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc. (MIRCI), on the grand opening of your new facilities! MIRCI is a new tenant of ours so our senior property manager Alli Morgan was on hand for the ribbon cutting celebration. Every year, each of our six regional property teams holds an annual meeting to discuss goals, initiatives, and strategies for success—as well as how to further enhance service to our tenants. These meetings include team and career development and team bonding events, providing our teams with opportunities for growth and fostering a sense of unity among team members. When our MOB South Central team met in Austin, TX, after their business meeting they went on a dinner cruise to see the bats in Austin!

Happy #WorldEnvironmentDay!   For over 50 years, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has led this annual celebration to bring together people from over 150 countries to inspire action and create a more sustainable world. For our part, Lillibridge is placing a focus on sustainability within our properties. With well over 200 certified green buildings and several ENERGY STAR certifications for energy efficiency, we’re aiming for net-zero operational carbon emissions by 2040. Earth Day events update, as we promised! Two of our teams shared what they did for Earth Day to bring awareness to sustainable practices in their own communities: In Kansas City, MO, the team held their annual paper shredding and electronic recycling event at their property. Healthcare tenants, patients, and the local community come by every year to drop off their items to be recycled. They partner with Midwest Shredding Service for paper shredding and Electro Mundo Technology Services for electronic recycling.   The team in Arlington, TX, handed out milkweed seeds—the host plant for the monarch butterfly—to their tenants. Also, as part of their annual team Earth Day event, they purchased and planted Texas native plants at our property, the Texas Clinic at Arlington.

We had an amazing time at the 2024 BOMA International Medical Real Estate Conference! Lillibridge hosted the "Reverse Provider Panel: Ask Me Anything!" moderated by our EVP, Dan Minning Minning, with insights from Ventas, Inc.’s Tim Olivos and industry leaders from Anchor Health Properties, Harrison Street, and Healthcare Realty. The panel provided a unique opportunity for healthcare providers to engage directly with different types of landlords, gaining insights into landlord relationships and the unique drivers for each landlord entity. Our Director of Sustainability Engineering, Michael Braun, participated in a panel on "How ESG is Driving Capital Investments," discussing the costs, benefits, and returns of ESG practices in healthcare real estate. We concluded the conference by hosting our Ice & Spice Soiree at ICEBAR Orlando, providing a fun atmosphere for attendees to mix and mingle.
