Sugar Pine Village is an example of delivering affordable units quickly and providing urgently needed housing to the South Lake Tahoe community. Related California is proud to continue working with local and state partners to advance Office of California Governor Gavin Newsom's goal of transforming underutilized state properties into thriving affordable living communities. Sugar Pine Village resident, Wendy Warswick, spoke at SPV's grand opening about the need for affordable housing in her community. While she brought many to tears explaining what her new home means to her, she summed it up best at the end of this San Francisco Chronicle article from J.K. Dineen: “I woke up, and for a second, I didn’t know where I was,” she said. “But then I smiled and said out loud, ‘Oh, I’m home,’ and fell back to sleep. Last Friday, we wrapped up our 20th Anniversary celebrations with a special event at our newest office in the historic Bradbury Building in downtown Los Angeles! The evening was nothing short of magical, with an amazing turnout of clients, colleagues, and friends. We enjoyed a fantastic array of local fare from DTLA Cheese Superette and Bottega Louie. Today, I had the pleasure of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Sugar Pine Village—a 68-unit affordable housing community in Tahoe, CA. This project will soon provide homes for 68 families, delivering much-needed housing just in time for the holiday season. It was inspiring to witness the tangible impact of our work, creating safe and affordable homes for those who need them most. We're thrilled to announce that the Hyatt Place Sonoma Wine Country has officially broken ground! This project, led by our client, Landmark Hotels Inc, brings a stunning new hotel to Sonoma County that captures the spirit of Wine Country in every detail. We are honored to be part of the talented team behind this vision, collaborating with NorCal Civil Engineering, Inc., DLR Group, and Pankow Builders.
