Mannington Mills was founded in Salem, New Jersey in 1915, by John Boston Campbell who came from Scotland and found happiness in the business of making flooring with his two sons, Neil and Kenneth. Still privately held and owned by the Campbell family, Mannington is now one of the world’s leading makers of residential and commercial fine flooring with locations across the U.S. and in the U.K. (under the Amtico brand). And though we’ve evolved and grown throughout the years, our commitment to our craft has never changed. Our company is proud to support Feeding America and its local and regional food bank partners year-round, but especially now because this is Hunger Action Month. Throughout September, we're coordinating team-building activities where our associates can volunteer to help their neighbors in need and contribute to a good cause. Here’s a terrific example… Mannington Commercial’s Brad Root (Sr. Vice President of Sales) and his wife Kathleen, recently volunteered with Tony Nixon and Avery Sciore (our two Commercial district Managers in Columbus, OH/Team Central Ohio) as “Opening Assistants” at the Mid-Ohio Market. This no-cost food market is part of the Mid-Ohio Food Collective, a Feeding America member. Its goal is to provide fresh, healthy free food to people struggling to make ends meet. As Brad, Kathleen, Tony, and Avery stocked product on shelves and in refrigerators, they put Mannington Mill’s “Care” Core Value into action. We hope everyone will join us in supporting their local food bank this month because every action -big or small- is one step closer to an America where no one is hungry. Congratulations to the third graduating class of Mannington Mills’ “Leading with Excellence” program! This 15-week endeavor focuses on helping associates grow and excel as leaders. Participants studied Mannington’s leadership competency model, business awareness, leadership mindset, leading by example, leading change, fostering trust, building and leading collaborative teams, and achieving ambitious goals that support company strategy. This program included four days of classroom instruction, as well as self-study, action planning, implementation and accountability partnerships. It concluded with a report-out session to members of our senior leadership team. We appreciate the commitment to leadership that these graduates show.
