To secure a clean energy future for California, we need local renewable energy, rooftop solar, and large-scale clean energy projects. It's all of the above! Our 48 megawatts of local renewable energy across 22 projects is just one of the many ways we're supporting a healthier future for the Golden State!

Clean energy is about powering communities. By championing youth-led climate action, centering equity, and offering green job training, MCE is powering a clean energy future with opportunity. With 22 local renewable projects energizing nearly 26,000 homes and over $358 million reinvested in local communities, together we're making a groundbreaking impact.

Lake Herman Solar Project is lighting up Benicia and beyond! This first major solar project in Solano County supplies 5 megawatts of clean power, enough to power 2,000 homes annually. Plus, it’s pollinator friendly with proactive invasive species management. A true win for our community and the environment, powered by over 11,100 union labor hours.
