Content is becoming more and more saturated. With AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and others, its becoming easier and easier to create content. The result? The bar for content quality is even higher than ever. We interviewed Brandon Penn, Head of Marketing at Runway (and an Assembly customer!) a couple weeks ago. Because it's even harder to capture people's attention today, he believes in shipping high quality content across everything - from a brand's website, case studies, blog, and etc.

Remember: More content ≠ Better Performance Brandon Penn, Head of Marketing at Runway shares his controversial take on one of the biggest myths about content. It's easy to assume that the only key to content is to post as much as possible. Especially when everyone tells you that consistency is the key to winning on socials. However, as algorithms evolve, sometimes having a few pieces of high quality content that you invest in distributing is actually the better way to spend your time. Agree or disagree? Let us know what you think in the comments. (P.S. - Shoutout the entire Runway team! Brandon Penn, Siqi Chen, & co are building an incredible product and are always crushing the content game 💪)

A couple months ago we increased prices for the first time at Assembly and made a few mistakes along the way. Here were our biggest learnings: 1. Don't remove features - grandfather users in Over the last year we had added features for all of users without thinking what plan they should be limited to and once we finalized the decision we made the mistake of removing features from the lowest tier plan We quickly got feedback and realized the better route was to grandfather in the older subscriptions and "freeze" those plans. As you continue to launch new features, users should feel incentivized to move onto the newer pricing plans for access -------- 2. Have a communication plan Just because the pricing is ready to launch doesn't mean you should just ship it Make sure you have a good communication plan to explain to customers when changes are happening and when they are going to go into effect. You'll be surprised how few people will be upset about increased prices, but a lot more will be upset about having it happen unannounced -------- 3. You're probably still charging too little At the end of the day, you're probably still charging too little for your product - so don't be scared of experimenting with pricing -------- What am I missing? Would love to hear other pricing lessons people have learned

We love seeing our customers succeed!! Especially one of our best power users, the King of Linkedin 👑 (powered by Assembly) Congrats on the raise!
Announcing Pylon's $17M Series A led by a16z. We founded the company under 2 years ago... Since then hundreds of the fastest growing companies have adopted Pylon as their customer support platform. Why? Existing support platforms were built for B2C, not B2B. B2B-specific needs have never been prioritized. Teams end up stitching together the same set of tools: 1/ Ticketing System 2/ Customer Success Platform 3/ Chat Widget 4/ Knowledge Base 5/ AI Support Bots 6/ Omnichannel Integrations 7/ Customer Marketing Products 8/ Product Feedback Tools ...and more. Pylon will bring them all into one platform, built for B2B. -- What about AI? -- A lot of our customers have tried AI support tools with high hopes - most have fallen short of expectations for B2B use cases. We believe AI features have to be tightly integrated with the core platform to deliver on their potential. -- Thank you -- Advith, Robert, the Pylon team, and I are so grateful for your continued support. We'd like to thank our earliest supporters... Harj Taggar from Y Combinator. Our Seed and ongoing investors... Niko Bonatsos, Andrea Wang, Zak Kukoff from General Catalyst. David Ongchoco and Adarsh Bhatt from Comma Capital. Sandy Kory from HorizonVC. Our first customers... Teresa Nesteby from Hightouch Lukas Köbis from Causal Andrew Luo & Christina Gilbert from OneSchema Ben Odom from Aptible Andrew Dooley & team from Panther And our newest investors... Jennifer Li & Zeya Yang from Andreessen Horowitz. -- What's next? -- We have 6 open roles across Sales, Marketing, Support, Engineering, Design.
