Our team connected with leaders and innovators this week at the The Business Council of Westchester's Clean Energy Action Conference in Ossining. Girish Behal PMP, Vice President of Projects and Business Development at NYPA, spoke about NYPA’s leading role in large-scale infrastructure projects that drive affordable #cleanenergy and #economicdevelopment. Exciting news for electric vehicle drivers! Six new fast chargers are now open in downtown #WhitePlains, providing greater convenience for local residents and travelers. This hub is part of our growing EVolve NY #fastcharging network, expanding into the Lower Hudson Valley region. With nearly 240 fast chargers statewide, we’re over halfway to the goal of 400 by early 2026. #BigNews: The NYPA Board of Trustees has approved $4M to support #workforcetraining initiatives across #NewYorkState! This investment will provide training and up-skilling opportunities for more than 8,300 New Yorkers as we continue to transition to #renewableenergy, reduce carbon emissions, and strengthen the resilience of our power grid. Since May 2024, we've already allocated $25M for renewable energy job skills training, marking a significant commitment to empowering the next generation of clean energy professionals. These newly approved funds will drive growth in #cleanenergy #workforcedevelopment and support Gov. Kathy Hochul’s efforts to ensure a sustainable, green future for all New Yorkers.
