In September, we introduced our first ever scouting program: NIV Scouts. Now that we are over halfway through the program, we are excited to highlight the Scouts’ contribution to NIV so far. The cohort is made up of a diverse group of The Estee Lauder Cos. employees spanning the company’s brands, functions, and regions globally. The group members have leveraged their individual expertise and deep understanding of ELC's strategy to help NIV source breakthrough brands and identify emerging trends across beauty. Over the course of the program, they have also learned how NIV evaluates potential investments and gained a broader understanding of venture capital and the indie beauty market. Since September, the Scouts have sourced over 200 brands from 21 countries. Of the brands sourced, over 80 had never been reviewed by NIV. The group has also contributed meaningful insights and helped NIV refine theses around new brands and categories. Thank you to our Scouts for all of your hard work!
