The only national organization representing PA educational programs

About us

PAEA is the national organization representing physician assistant (PA) educational programs in the United States. We serve as a resource for individuals and organizations from various professional sectors interested in the educational aspects of the PA profession. We are the organization primarily responsible for collecting, publishing, and disseminating information on the PA programs. We provide effective representation to affiliated organizations involved in health education, health care policy, and the national certification of PA graduates. We work to ensure quality PA education through the development and distribution of educational services and products specifically geared toward meeting the emerging needs of PA programs, the PA profession, and the health care industry.

PAEA brings a new experience, the Networker Cafe, to kick off the final day of Forum 2024. Scheduled for Thursday, October 10, the premiere Networker Café creates a collaborative space for attendees to discuss questions that matter in PA education. The Café takes the place of the closing general session. Modeled on the World Café and focusing on topics suggested by PAEA members, the Networker Café uses facilitated conversations to generate ideas, solutions, and collective intelligence about PA education’s most pressing issues. Each table will discuss an important issue in PA education – anything from the effects of AI on teaching to the challenges of re-accreditation. Attendees can join whichever group interests them, and they’ll have time for more than one group. Got a topic you'd like to discuss? PAEA members can submit topics for discussion by commenting below or emailing Sarah Bolander, chair of the Educational Programming Steering Committee, at sarah.bolander@nau.edu. Don't miss this unique opportunity! Join us during Forum, Thursday, October 10 at 8:30 a.m. ET.
