When it comes to surgery, bigger isn’t always better. Using small, minimally invasive incisions often provides better outcomes, with less pain and faster recovery times. Recently, Portsmouth Regional Hospital neurospine surgeon Dr. Ken Maynard completed the first endoscopic spine surgery in the State of New Hampshire. Benefits of endoscopic spine surgery: • Faster, less painful recovery period • Minimal scarring • Greatly reduced risk of infection • Less blood loss • No impact or trauma to the ligaments, muscles, and bone around the spine Learn more about Dr. Maynard by clicking the link below, or call 603.433.4666 for a consultation. https://bit.ly/3zXvMbR

When Dover Fire & Rescue sent out a call for help, Portsmouth Regional Hospital and its employees responded. In late August, a flood from a water line break destroyed all of the toys the fire department had been storing – about $40,000 worth -- for its annual Dover Fire Toy Bank. This was the first time in more than 40 years that the fire department would be starting off the holiday season with no supplies. When Portsmouth Regional Hospital employees heard about the toys, they went shopping, and we recently handed over the collection to Dover Fire. Back row, representatives of Portsmouth Regional Hospital’s Employee Advisory Group, as well as members of the senior team, including interim CEO John Skevington, far right. In front, Dover firefighters Michael Kilday and Jared Bouchard. When you do good in the world, #ItShows #PRHProud #CareLikeFamily
