Exciting News from Clearfield! We recently hosted the first Parent Café at the Davis Community Learning Center in collaboration with Wasatch Elementary. Parent Cafés are an incredible opportunity for parents and guardians to come together, connect with the school, and dive deeper into their child’s education. At this event, we focused on building stronger relationships between families and the school, fostering a supportive community to ensure every student succeeds!

A huge thank you to My Hometown, a local volunteer initiative that collected over 7 boxes of new and gently used books to be distributed at Liberty Elementary’s family literacy night on November 7. This generous donation will ensure our event is a success, and help students begin a lifelong love of reading.

I am so tired of waiting, Aren't you, For the world to become good And beautiful and kind? Let us take a knife And cut the world in two- And see what worms are eating At the rind. - Langston Hughes Boy, did we get into it at the StriveTogether national #ConveningC2C last week in Salt Lake City! This was the most authentic, spirited, convicting, and activating StriveTogether national convening I've attended. Weaving together the threads of #solidarityeconomics to drive economic mobility for ALL (Manuel Pastor - USC Equity Research Institute), nurturing and growing social movement leaders (Cheryl Dorsey - Echoing Green), holding ourselves accountable to our communities and the network's 4 million futures pledge (Jennifer Blatz), and *real* strategies for designing and upholding strong policies and civic structures for systems transformation (The EdRedesign Lab and StriveTogether Community of Practice + Results for America leadership and coordination); this convening reminded me how wonderful it is to "create beautiful things with my friends." It also did not shy away from examining harsh truths and asking tough questions to get there. Grateful to learn from so many incredible national trailblazers and learning collectives like Partners for Rural Impact, Texas Impact Network, Promise South Salt Lake, Seeding Success, Learn to Earn Dayton, Omega CDC, Northside Achievement Zone (NAZ) and dozens of other network members and national field leaders. Now it's time to get to work applying all of these new insights and connections to make the world more good, beautiful and kind. 🌱
