Regional Medical Center and Good Samaritan Hospital’s One Team donated approximately 300 backpacks and school supplies for underserved children as part of Sacred Heart Community Service’s “Pack-A-Back” campaign. Thank you, Royal Ambulance for contributing donations and transporting the supplies!

Each year, HCA Healthcare recognizes Juneteenth as an opportunity to reflect on our history and work on achieving meaningful progress toward a healthier, more equitable tomorrow for our patients, colleagues and communities. Locally, Regional Medical Center was a proud sponsor of the 43rd Annual Juneteenth Festival hosted by the African American Community Service Agency this past weekend. Hundreds of participants met with members of our team to address concerns, share their experiences, and discuss employment opportunities. Additionally, Members of the Black Colleague Network at Regional Medical Center hosted their 3rd Annual Juneteenth celebration. Colleagues sang Lift Every Voice and Sing, learned about the significance of Juneteenth and enjoyed lunch provided by a local vendor.

A group of colleagues from Regional Medical Center of San Jose and Good Samaritan Hospital - San Jose, CA volunteered at Second Harvest of Silicon Valley to address food insecurity in our community on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The group helped pack 40,395 pounds of food!

Observed each year on the third Monday in January, Martin Luther King Jr. Day is designated as a National Day of Service to honor the life and legacy of Dr. King. Regional Medical Center joins our HCA Healthcare family in honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life and legacy by answering his call to serve today.
