We are immensely proud of the NEW DESIGN MIDDLE SCHOOL Class of 2024, where about 30 remarkable students graduated and took their first steps towards a bright future. The ceremony was graced by an inspiring keynote speech from Roads to Success CEO, Sheila Duke, who emphasized the resilience, creativity, and leadership qualities these students have developed over the years. In her speech, Sheila reminded us all of the incredible journey these students have undertaken, especially in the face of unprecedented challenges. She shared powerful insights on the importance of staying curious, being resilient, leading with compassion, pursuing passions, and giving back. We were also delighted to see our own Tamara Willoughby, College Access & Pathways Program Coordinator, and Angelo Cabrera, Deputy Director of Education and Career Pathways, receive awards for their continuous support to the school. Their dedication and commitment have been instrumental in shaping the paths of these young scholars. To the graduates, you are the changemakers and leaders of tomorrow. Your hard work, determination, and unique talents have already set you on a path to greatness. The world is eagerly awaiting the impact you will make. Congratulations to the Class of 2024! Your future is bright, and we are honored to support and celebrate your achievements. #Graduation2024 #FutureLeaders #buildyourownroad #roadstosuccess #RTS #Changemakers #NewDesignMiddleSchool

A joyous conclusion to the school year; Fun, Farewells, and Festivities! We wrapped up the school year with celebrations across Roads to Success after-school programs, that brought our entire community together. It was a bittersweet month as we bid farewell to many graduating students who have been a part of our journey. Their smiles and achievements are a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved—students, parents, guardians and staff alike. While we will miss our graduates, we are excited to welcome new students in the upcoming school year. The end of the school year celebrations were filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a shared sense of accomplishment, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. Here's to a fantastic summer ahead! We are already planning and preparing for an even better school year, filled with new adventures and learning opportunities. Thank you to everyone who made this year so special. Enjoy the summer, and we can't wait to see you again soon! #EndOfSchoolYear #RTS #roadstosuccess #buildyourownroad #Community #Summer2024 #Education #Celebration #NewBeginnings

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, a day of freedom, resilience, and reflection. On June 19, 1865, news of emancipation finally reached Galveston, Texas (well over two years later), marking the end of slavery in the U.S. This historic day reminds us of the importance of freedom and the ongoing journey toward equality and justice. Engaging Youth in Juneteenth Discussions: 1. Share age-appropriate books and resources on Juneteenth. 2. Encourage open conversations about history and its impact today. 3. Participate in community events and educational activities. 4. Use food, art, music, and storytelling to bring history to life. Together, let's educate, uplift, and inspire the next generation. #Juneteenth #FreedomDay #RTSCommunity #RoadsToSuccess #NYCYouth

What an incredible day at Deloitte Impact Day! Over 50 enthusiastic Roads to Success youth and 30+ dedicated staff members participated in a transformative workshop on "Building Resilience," guided by fantastic role models from Deloitte. A special shoutout to the ten new New Yorkers, who, despite language barriers, fully engaged with the help of translators. Your resilience and determination are truly inspiring! This day was not just about building skills but also about building dreams. Our youth had the opportunity to explore different career paths, learn about personal branding, and create a roadmap for their futures. One student's commitment to not miss a single day of school, aiming to make her family and herself proud, was a heartwarming testament to the day's impact. We are deeply grateful to our partner Deloitte for opening their doors and hearts to our youth providing invaluable experiences and inspiration. The dedication and enthusiasm of Deloitte’s role models were pivotal in making this event a success. Your support and guidance have left an indelible mark on these young minds.
