Great progress is being made on the replacement of the Route 31 bridge over U.S. Highway 20 project in Elgin, Illinois. RS&H is providing construction engineering and inspection services to the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) for this project which will replace the current structure with a wider bridge, widen the existing ramps at the interchange, and install modernized traffic signals along with new LED lighting. New sidewalks including ADA-compliant ramps and curbs will round out this project, expected to be completed in 2026. RS&H supports IDOT's mission to provide safe, cost-effective transportation in Illinois! The future of women’s behavioral healthcare is embodied in Gracepoint Wellness' new Mariposa Women’s Hospital, Florida’s first-of-its-kind facility dedicated to addressing the pressing mental health needs of women. RS&H provided architecture, interior design, and engineering for the state-of-the-art, 31,000 square-foot facility. At the heart of this project lies a decade-long vision carried out by federal and local support, culminating in the recent groundbreaking ceremony that celebrated hope and transformation. Named Mariposa, meaning ‘butterfly’ in Spanish, the hospital symbolizes a sanctuary where women can undergo personal transformation, supported by compassionate care and innovative healing environments. The ceremony, attended by community leaders including Mayor Jane Castor and Congresswoman Kathy Castor, underscored the significance of this facility in enhancing mental health services for women in the Tampa Bay area. RS&H’s meticulous design approach integrates biophilic elements and a warm, residential-inspired ambiance aimed at fostering a sense of calmness and belonging. As Project Manager and Architect Levy Nguyen affirms, the hospital’s thoughtful architecture not only meets rigorous healthcare standards but also prioritizes patient well-being and comfort.
