The world's largest community for business software.

About us

SaaStr is the world’s largest community of SaaS executives, founders, and entrepreneurs. Our goal is to help everyone get from $0 to $100m ARR with less stress and more success. We do that with a combination of industry-leading content and community connections. The SaaStr Annual is the largest non-vendor event in the industry. SaaStr began in 2012 as a simple WordPress blog and a few answers on Quora sharing EchoSign founder Jason Lemkin’s learnings of going from $0 to $100m ARR at EchoSign. This led to our first meet-ups in 2013, the first SaaStr Annual in 2015, the industry’s leading podcast in 2016, the first coworking space in 2017, and the first learning management system for SaaS CEOs in 2018. To continue expanding and serving the community, SaaStr has grown its offerings to include regional and global events, a co-selling space, an investment fund, and an automated e-learning platform. SaaStr has been named one of the Top 100 Blogs for Entrepreneurs but Forbes and one of the 50 Best Websites for Entrepreneurs by Inc. Magazine, and a Top Writer on Quora six times. Jason has been named by Business Insider to the 32 Most Powerful People in Business Technology.

📚 𝙒𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙖𝙩 SaaStr 𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙪𝙖𝙡 2024 𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙠 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙯𝙞𝙣𝙜! I've attended many throughout my career but we always had an events marketer spearhead it - I just had to turn up! But we're a small and tight knit team here at Salesbricks 🧱 so we all rolled up our sleeves alongside Jonathan to make this successful in the 3.5 week lead time we had. Our goal? Getting as many qualified meetings booked for our sales team as possible! Here's the top 3 things we did that worked really well: 1️⃣ 𝐒𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦: 𝘏𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘬𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘫𝘰𝘣 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘩𝘪 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘴, 𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘰. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘱 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘥. 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥-𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘹𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘻𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘩, 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘥 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘴 𝘸𝘦 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥. 2️⃣ 𝐊.𝐈.𝐒.𝐒.: We knew we needed volume in order to end up with enough qualified leads to make our sponsorship worth it. So we kept things simple with our demo. I worked with the team on a 3-minute demo scoped only to the most relatable part of our product offering - enough to show value, but short enough to move onto other attendees. Deep dives were reserved for post-conference meetings that we booked, where we'd have more time to spend with each prospect. 3️⃣ 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐰𝐚𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐬: Unless you're focused on a branding exercise, be intentional about the ROI of each item - what attendees need to do to get it. We gave away our tote bags and stickers because they were great branding for a startup like us. But t-shirts were reserved for post-demo guests. And our watch prize required a little bit more social media involvement - it was a great hit and drove more traffic from the rest of the conference! After two and half days, our team was exhausted but running on the adrenaline of meeting so many prospective customers and we wrapped up with 200+ leads and 60+ meetings 🔥🔥🔥 I couldn't have asked for a better SaaStr. Special shoutout to Jason M. Lemkin for roping us in and Trish J. King for supporting us tirelessly!

As someone with a background in software and currently navigating the J-curve in venture capital, it’s definitely been a learning experience. The initial returns can be tough—seeing negative results in the early years can feel discouraging. But I’m focusing on those small signals, those moments when you realize that collectively, things are on track. You've got to trust the process and find those wins that will make up for the losses. Stay patient and learn along the way. #VentureCapital #LearningCurve #StartupJourney

Transforming your business using latest technological advancements based on Your Business. Your Rules.

Honestly one of the best conferneces I've attended. I've tried to summarise some of my key takeaways for you to read on the blog. I must admit I was keeping my team up at night time so that they could ask necessary technical questions via WhatsApp, and I would read them out during the braindates. Never done that before! And I had a brilliant partner in crime Samantha Clark , together I think we must have spoken with about 75% of the companies there!

I recently had the privilege of attending the SaaStr Conference, and to say it was unforgettable would be an understatement. This wasn't your typical business conference—it was an experience unlike any I've been to. Read the full Blog article below on the highlights and my main takeaways from my time in the Bay Area!
