Without enough to eat children can’t learn, play, or grow. Save the Children Ambassador Chef Eric Adjepong recently visited our food security programs in Malawi to witness the impact of the global hunger crisis and what can be done to help. Kids deserve a future free from hunger, but right now, 45 million children worldwide are facing acute malnutrition. This #WorldFoodDay donate to support kids in helping ensure they get the nutrition they need to thrive 💞: https://bit.ly/3Y64Lep

We give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm in the US & around the world
About us
Save the Children is the leading independent organization creating lasting change in the lives of children in need in the United States and around the world. Recognized for our commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration, our work takes us into the heart of communities, where we help children and families help themselves. We work with other organizations, governments, non-profits and a variety of local partners while maintaining our own independence without political agenda or religious orientation. When disaster strikes around the world, Save the Children is there to save lives with food, medical care and education and remains to help communities rebuild through long-term recovery programs. As quickly and as effectively as Save the Children responds to tsunamis and civil conflict, it works to resolve the ongoing struggles children face every day — poverty, hunger, illiteracy and disease — and replaces them with hope for the future.

Our colleagues in Gaza are civilians living with families who have experienced profound losses over the past year. They've been uprooted from their homes and lost loved ones. Like all families in Gaza, they are living without enough food, clean drinking water, and access to adequate medical care. Despite these difficulties, they continue to do what they can to survive and care for their families and they continue to show up to work every day to support children. Aid workers must be protected. And we need a definitive ceasefire now to continue lifesaving efforts, and ensure children live to see tomorrow.

They have been denied food, medicine and vital aid, and been torn away from their lives as they flee the fighting. The psychological toll of living through continuous conflict, not knowing if this day will be their last, is enormous. Swipe to learn five ways conflict impacts children’s mental health. And join our call to stop the war on children. #WorldMentalHealthDay

Children in Gaza have had their childhoods shattered. They’re paying the highest price for a war they play no part in. Every day, they face violence, fear, loss, displacement, hunger and devastation – things that should not be normalized for any child anywhere. For the past year, Save the Children has been working tirelessly with local partners to provide emergency support to children and families. But the truth is, we still aren’t able to support at the pace and scale that is needed in Gaza. We need a definitive ceasefire now. It is the only way to protect children’s lives, enable the safe delivery of humanitarian assistance and ensure the release of all remaining hostages.

In every conflict, it is children who pay the highest price. At least 37 Israeli children were killed in the October 7 attacks last year. And the relentless bombardment and siege that has followed has shattered the lives of the children in Gaza, with more than 14,000 children killed. It has been one year of bombs, airstrikes, and bullets. One year of living in fear. As violence continues children will pay the price with their lives and their futures. We need a definitive ceasefire now to protect the lives of all children, guarantee the return of all children taken hostage and ensure the safe delivery of humanitarian assistance.
