Today, we're looking back at the Swedish Issaquah Campus project, which was completed 13 years ago! 🏗 Located on an 18-acre greenfield site, the project included an acute-care hospital, an outpatient cancer center, and a five-floor medical office building. The hospital features ambulatory care services, outpatient primary care and specialty services, physician offices, outpatient surgery, infusion therapy, lab and pharmacy spaces and advanced imaging services. Watch the video to see the project from start to finish!

As #ConstructionInclusionWeek continues, we are excited to share that Sellen's 2024 ANEW fundraising campaign has generated more than $95,000 to help people in our community prepare for successful careers with local trade unions. This year, nearly 50 local subcontractors and suppliers contributed to the campaign. Thank you to all of our partners for continuing to champion this work! ANEW is a nonprofit pre-apprenticeship organization for people interested in joining local trades. ANEW's Trades Rotation Program provides nine weeks of training and wraparound support services for women and people who identify as women, providing each individual with opportunities to try their hand at a variety of different trades. Earlier this year, a cohort of ANEW students visited Sellen's 35 Stone project to experience what it's like in the field and ask our superintendents about our work. Sellen remains committed to building a more inclusive construction industry, and we believe organizations like ANEW play a vital role in advancing this work.

At Sellen, we believe that diversity and inclusion are essential to building stronger teams within our company and the broader construction industry. As we celebrate #ConstructionInclusionWeek, we're committed to fostering a workplace where every voice is heard, valued, and respected. This week is a reminder to not only champion diversity but also take actionable steps to ensure equity and inclusion at every level—on job sites, in the office, and throughout our communities. Today is Indigenous Peoples' Day, and we would like to recognize the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Indigenous communities -- particularly the Coast Salish peoples on whose land we live and work in Seattle. Sellen is committed to building with respect for all communities, honoring the past, and creating a future that uplifts and includes everyone. As we continue to build projects across the Pacific Northwest, we reflect on the importance of preserving and respecting the natural and cultural heritage of the land. We remain dedicated to creating spaces that support and celebrate the diverse communities we serve.
