Join us in congratulating Project Architect and Team Lead, Blake Drouillard on an impressive 10 years at Kraemer Design Group! Over the past decade, Blake has demonstrated exceptional growth and leadership in architectural practice and project management. His portfolio boasts an impressive array of high-profile projects that have not only transformed the urban landscape of Detroit but have also garnered industry recognition. Blake was a key team member on KDG’s Shinola Hotel project which received the 2020 Michigan Historic Preservation Network Building Award, and the Retrofit Metamorphosis Awards in both Historic and Adaptive Reuse categories. Blake also worked on the Detroit Free Press Building which was honored with the 2021 Construction Association of Michigan Special Issue Award, and, most recently, Blake led the Dreamtroit project which won the 2024 Michigan Historic Preservation Network’s Tax Credit Award. Blake's ability to manage complex projects while maintaining design schedules has been instrumental in the success of these award-winning projects. His pleasant demeanor and good nature have made him a favorite among colleagues and clients alike. The Detroit Athletic Club, an iconic presence in Detroit since 1915, engaged KDG to renovate their 29 Guest Rooms in 2024. KDG created a fresh, neutral palette to brighten the rooms layering textures and natural materials to reflect the sophistication, style, and extensive history of the club and its members. New entry doors and signage, as well as improved sound isolation between rooms and upgraded HVAC units, enhance the guest experience. Along with refreshing the palette Intramode managed the procurement of all new furniture, casegoods and art within the Guest Rooms, creating a cohesive palette and brand for the DAC. #interiordesign #architecture #procurement #hospitality #design
