Eighty percent of women report feeling lonely because of their job, with 41% saying work is the loneliness time of their day, according to a recent survey conducted by TheLi.st in partnership with with Berlin Cameron and Benenson Strategy Group. A similar share of men report feeling the same way; the difference is that women are more likely to feel lonely as they progress in their careers compared to men. Loneliness discourages women from getting promoted or accepting new jobs. Feeling lonely also breeds dissatisfaction, leading to high employee turnover and disengagement. She Summits offers a unique approach to tackling these challenges head-on that goes beyond checkbox culture. We provide: ➡ Transformational Workshops: playful self-development workshops that spark joy, confidence, and connection leading to a more engaged and productive workforce. ➡ Engaging Challenges: fun virtual challenges with daily practices that build connection and wellbeing, leading to happier, more engaged employees. I had the honor of sharing the stage at SXSW with Justin McLeod, CEO of Hinge to talk about the power of connection and how much of an impact just 10 minutes can make in a person's day. 10 minutes? May seem random but research backs this up. For nearly 20 years, we've all had a huge decline in time spent together, according to the US Surgeon General's Report, but if we each spent 10 minutes a day intentionally building our networks, we could reduce the loneliness gap by 50%...and that's why we launched 10 Minutes to Togetherness. Continue following us for tangible ways to do this and to stay part of the conversation!

Our 10 Minutes to Togetherness initiative was born out of a deep dive into statistical data surrounding loneliness in the workplace: 80% of women in corporate careers say they are lonely BECAUSE OF their jobs –it gets worse as they get more senior and it’s preventing them from moving into positions of greater influence and power. It can be hard to even see the impact of loneliness on your own career. Sometimes it shows up as overwhelm, isolation, or a feeling that you’re not respected or not able to show up as yourself. But our goal is to help everyone make meaningful connections to combat loneliness so they feel seen, supported and successful. How will you spend your 10 Minutes Today? With gratitude to BSG & Berlin Cameron for partnering with TheLi.st on the research.

Behind the scenes I’ve been hard at work on a new initiative to help women step into their power and at rise at work and I’m so excited to finally reveal 10 Minutes to Togetherness. 80% of women in white collar careers are lonely BECAUSE OF their jobs, according to new research from my company TheLi.st, Berlin Cameron and BSG. The loneliness is making them feel isolated, overwhelmed, unseen, and disrespected. The solution to this crisis is simple yet profound: cultivating *meaningful togetherness*. We’ve had a nearly 20 year decline in time spent together, according to the US Surgeon General, but if we all spent 10 minutes a day intentionally cultivating our networks, we’d decrease the loneliness gap by 50%! This is not about transactional networking or superficial interactions. IN with creating communities and workplaces where individuals feel truly valued, supported and connected and OUT with empty networking events. Through 10 Minutes to Togetherness, we want everyone to cultivate a support system that helps them rise in their careers and to work in places where we all feel seen, heard, and celebrated for who we are. Please join me in this initiative by spending 10 minutes today reaching out to someone you work with to check in on how they are and offer your support.  You can download the research report and more 10 Minute Tips here https://lnkd.in/evhEcHUE. For now thank you for starting this journey with me. We can help tackle the loneliness epidemic—together. I'm spending my 10 Minutes sending my gratitude to our amazing research partners: Jennifer DaSilva and Natalie Lupiani. And to our brilliant 10 Minutes to Togetherness Advisors: Daisy Auger-Dominguez (she/her/ella), Adriana Carrig, Dr. Angela Jackson, Susan McPherson, Rebecca P., Reshma Saujani

I’ve dedicated my career to helping women step into their power. From Editor-in-Chief of Seventeen Magazine to The Big Life book and community to CEO and owner of TheLi.st, with each milestone in my career, I’ve learned the importance of cultivating connection and community. For the last two years, I've been focusing on the research that has identified #loneliness as a pressing issue in the workplace—as a heath concern and as a barrier women's success and influence . And now, we are addressing loneliness head-on, no matter where you are in your professional journey. There’s something exciting on the way and we're going to face this challenge—together. I'm so grateful for your support. Stay tuned for more to come!

So thrilled to have Infillion host URL Media and BOMESI (Black Owned Media Equity & Sustainability Institute) on our rooftop during Advertising Week New York, in partnership with TheLi.st, a community I have been part of for over a decade. (Thank you for the support, Ann Shoket!) It is our honor to support leaders like S. Mitra Kalita and Rhonesha Byng as they work to increase the investment in media owned by underrepresented groups. It’s imperative for the advertising industry and it’s a priority for us at Infillion. Thank you to all who attended!

Founder & CEO of Artisan Financial Strategies - Helping Senior Executives and Scaling Entrepreneurs Coordinate Their Financial World | Keynote and TEDx Speaker | Writer | Connector | WBE

In an out-of-the-box move, I booked two incredible conferences back-to-back -International Women's Forum Atlanta and TED Conferences (#TEDWomen). Neither disappointed.     TED Women was wonderful, as was seeing my Leadership Atlanta sisters Pat Upshaw-Monteith, Sucheta Kamath, Julia Houston, Natalie K., Helene Lollis, Adrienne Mims, MD MPH FAAFP AGSF and Sheila Weidman and so many other friends – Jacqui C., Lucille Heil, Allison Maddox, JeJuan Stewart PA-C, and Abby Havermann.   Great speaker presentations by Paige Alexander, Jay Bailey, and Valerie Montgomery Rice and so great spending time with members of TheLi.st including Stephanie Nadi Olson, Ann Shoket, and Pam Sherman.   Thanks to Hala Moddelmog for hosting so many women at The Woodruff Arts Center and Sabina Osorio for such great promotion.   For me the fun in TED Women was not only in the phenomenal speakers, but the experiences and ability to crash on a couch with new friends and really talk deeply about the social implications of the talks. Where else can you talk with people you have never met over a great doppio espresso and talk about race, democracy, women in war reporting, what the role should be for a first lady, women’s reproductive rights, and stats to back the stories, mental health (Glenn Close was interviewed by Pat Mitchell on this critical topic and was brilliant), menopause, DEI, venture capital, gun violence (Lucy McBath spoke about her role as a congresswoman on this) sustainable horticulture and so much more.    I’m still processing the incredible speakers and how I take what I learned back to the community.   What an amazing experience! I’ll be back next year and would love to see many of you there!
