This initiative provides young people with access to the construction sector, offering insights into the industry and helping to break down barriers to entry. Our Midlands team has engaged with local schools and communities to inspire young minds and showcase the diverse career pathways available in construction. As part of Open Doors week, we were delighted to host a visit for our AMBE Academy at The College Merthyr Tydfil, continuing to support the learners as the next generation of workers into the industry. A great opportunity for them to see a live construction project in action and hear from our staff on the project on progression routes and career pathways they have taken into the industry. It’s officially #OpenDoors2025 Day 1. Our first Open Doors of the week was at Arrowe Park Hospital where we had Year 10 students from Chesterfield High School come to site we took them behind the scenes to showcase the fantastic works we are doing on-site. We then headed over to Aintree Hospital where we hosted 2 sessions to Childwall Abbey School. Following the success of previous events, our Women @ TD employee network hosted its third annual Women in Construction networking lunch at our London office last week, to mark International Women’s Day.
