On behalf of our #GIS team, Marshall L. Stevenson III attended the 2024 American Planning Association and Maryland Planning Commissioners Association Conference to receive an award for their exceptional work on the Maryland Sidewalk Data Collaboration initiative for the Maryland Department of Transportation Secretary's Office! We are a proud key partner in MDOT SHA's One Maryland One Centerline Program. This program empowers local jurisdictions to easily map their sidewalk assets, helping to identify obstacles that hinder safe walking and rolling. The program's user-friendly interface streamlines the data collection process and leverages geospatial technology. #GIS #GeospatialTechnology #AssetManagement #TranSystems Gannett Fleming

We are thrilled to announce that our McChord Fire House Repair project has been recognized with the Mount Tacoma SAME Projects of Excellence Award in the Complexity category AND a People's Choice Award! 🎉 The McChord Field Fire and Rescue Station at JBLM, originally built in 1951, is a crucial facility providing fire protection, emergency medical services, and flight line support for McChord Field aircraft operations. This project addressed critical issues, including water damage, mold, and space limitations, to design a fully functional, efficient facility that could be constructed with uninterrupted, 24/7 support for emergency response teams. The complex repair of this facility required a DD-1391 to reclassify to a Full Facility Repair, historic coordination, LEED Silver requirements, Building Information Modeling, an ASCE 41-17 Tier 1 Structural Evaluation, preparation of a Design/ Build RFP for a swing site to ensure no downtime for response crews, and extensive stakeholder coordination. A huge shoutout to our multidisciplinary team who made the success of this intricate yet rewarding project possible! Thank you, SAME! Helix Design Group, A Division of Shive-Hattery AHBL Inc.
