The cooperative spirit in action! United's restoration crew is glad to lend a hand in restoring power to the members of Sam Houston Electric Cooperative.

"We couldn’t do this kind of work without help from other cooperatives." At United, it is important that we assist other electric cooperatives in times of need. This past month, United sent two six-man restoration crews to assist neighboring Heart of Texas Electric Cooperative in Rosebud and Bowie-Cass Electric Cooperative in East Texas. Both cooperatives were devastated by severe storms, and United was able to aid in the restoration until the co-ops were back up and running. Thank you to our linemen who volunteered to help, embodying our sixth guiding principle of cooperation among cooperatives!

Today is National Lineworker Appreciation Day. United linemen are dedicated to serving our members. They are called out in all conditions, any time of day or night. Their job can be dangerous, physically demanding and can require long hours to finish a tough job. When the power goes out, they answer the call. #thankalineman https://lnkd.in/e4YYm5Ym

220 United employees getting a dose of the next module of Touchstone Energy’s Service Excellence training over the next two days. Josh McGhee has them focused on strengthening Member Engagement. Highly recommend this employee education offering from Touchstone!

"Going on calls and getting people’s power on is what we do, but it was a good feeling to know that someone’s taking care of us in the community by helping the fire department to better fight wildfires.” United employees had the opportunity to play a role in a life-saving project that created a place on rural ranchland where tanker trucks could refill without having to travel long distances.
