Indian Ocean Tsunami was a wake up call, underscoring the need to raise awareness of tsunami risks and build resilience. It's also critical that when a crisis strikes, help reaches those affected swiftly and effectively. Within hours of the tsunami, our first responders were on the ground to help save lives. 20 years later, on #TsunamiDay, we revisit their efforts and the impact they made on the ground. 🔴 The situation in #Gaza is increasingly dire.    Civilians are facing relentless attacks, and hospitals are being targeted, leaving those in need without crucial medical care. Severe human rights violations, including rape and sexual assault against women and girls have been reported. #AccessDenied threatens people’s lives Beyond this mission on Monday, almost no aid operations have been allowed in North #Gaza, amid dwindling supplies, high casualties, hits on overwhelmed medical facilities and mass displacement. The siege of North Gaza must be lifted. Aid must go in.

🚨 The crisis in #Lebanon is escalating, with severe casualties, widespread displacement and a mounting humanitarian toll. World Health Organization reports a sharp increase in health worker casualties, with 99 killed and 82 injured since 8 October 2023. There have been over 53 targeted attacks on health facilities and 27 incidents on ambulances, severely impacting healthcare services.
