It’s the talk of the town, almost any town! Downtown office conversions are increasingly being seen as a potential solution to the Boston region’s housing crisis, and now also for cities across the Commonwealth and beyond that are still reeling from the impacts of the pandemic. Utile Principal, Tim Love joined WBUR this morning to discuss the need for office-to-residential conversions in downtown Boston and beyond. With hybrid work trends seemingly here to stay, a housing crisis in full swing, and an aim to reimagine and revitalize beleaguered downtowns, converting office buildings could be just the game-changer many cities need! As part of our Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Initiative, we engage with talented artists throughout the year to reimagine Utile's logo in honor of commemorative observance months.
