Upcoming EU directives on urban wastewater treatment is driving the need for process intensification in existing wastewater treatment facilities to meet more stringent nutrient removal standards. #ZeeLung Membrane Aerated Biofilm Reactor (MABR) offers a sustainable solution for process intensification allowing for an increased biological treatment capacity within a smaller footprint, reduced energy consumption and improve process resilience. Our expert Giuseppe Guglielmi will be at #LWWTP20204, from 8th to 12th of september in Budapest, Hungary, the 14th IWA Specialized Conference on the Design, Operation and Economics of Large Wastewater Treatment Plants, to discuss how ZeeLung MABR is having significant impact in large-scale projects with our clients. A powerful combination of technologies for handling varying water quality challenges. 👏
I've heard a lot of great things about Veolia Water Technologies’ Actiflo Technology over the years. It was nice to get a chance to see it in action at Halton Region’s Oakville Water Purification Plant with its designers and operators. On occasion this facility can see major feed water quality disruptions but they have an amazing operations staff that use the tools they have to make sure the plant stays online and produces high quality water. At this facility, the Actiflo system works side by side with another Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions’ technology, NS Clarifier, treating the solids stream. Congratulations Dave Mason, our Senior Field Services and Technical Advisory Manager, Global Technical Direction and Validation, on being named a 2024 WEF Fellow! This recognition highlights Dave’s dedication and expertise in the water industry, contributing to innovative solutions and driving forward our mission of #ecologicaltransformation! #WEFAwards #waterleaders
"WEF membership in WEF has given me many opportunities...Hopefully, I have encouraged and inspired a few lesser-trained and lesser-experienced engineers, operators and young professionals over the years to find a rewarding career in creating care-free water." We're thrilled to recognize Dave Mason of the Water Environment Association of Texas as a 2024 WEF Fellow! Dave has more than 40 years of experience in #water and #wastewater treatment and management. He is widely published, including in key WEF technical offerings, and his ability to identify and share meaningful lessons learned between the municipal and industrial sectors has been cited as being especially noteworthy. A college campus wanted to reduce condensate iron levels at its steam cogeneration plant. Veolia’s FDA-compliant volatile filmer was injected into the boiler feedwater to enhance system-wide corrosion protection. This solution helped the campus reduce iron corrosion levels by 35% with the filmer being detected in multiple areas of the system, demonstrating strong volatility. Did you know that Ozone has many benefits in the aquaculture industry? For the month of September, we travel to Norway, where Nekton Settefisk, a fish farm producing smolt, uses Veolia's Ozonia CFS 14 ozone generators in a recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) as well as disinfection of the inlet water. Our partner Redox has been servicing this equipment for over 10 years!. The fish also seem to gain a bigger appetite and increased growth as a result of the use of ozone in the system. If you would like to learn more about Ozonia Ozone systems, references and Ozone applications, please visit the following link https://bit.ly/3VgysGN #Veolia #Ozonia #Ozone

A leading French starch manufacturer faced challenges with wastewater quality variability, risking its biological treatment system. As a solution, the facility implemented advanced total organic carbon (#TOC) monitoring technology with the Sievers TOC-R3 Analyzer, allowing for: ✅ Faster detection of heavily contaminated water and diversion to buffer tanks ✅ Robustness and high pH adaptability ✅ Complete oxidation and wide dynamic range ✅ Minimal reagent consumption and low operating costs Read our recent case study to learn more about how organics monitoring can help protect assets and meet regulatory requirements in your industrial processes: https://bit.ly/4ceNG79 #TotalOrganicCarbon #OrganicsMonitoring #WaterQuality #WaterAnalysis #Sievers #Wastewater

🌍💧 “Water is too precious to be used only once!” This is the main message I conveyed this week at the World Water Week in Stockholm 🇸🇪, where I was honored to be a speaker. My main takeaway from this enriching week organized by SIWI - Stockholm International Water Institute is that there is a now wide consensus on what we need to tackle the challenges of water management and ensure #watersecurity: 👉 An entire #ecosystem aligned on shared goals, with each key stakeholder playing their role: ➡️ Public authorities give the political impulsion and set the right framework, ➡️ Financial partners select the most promising projects and allow investments to be made, ➡️ Industrial players provide the right technologies & design, build, and run the solutions. 👉 A proper project #governance characterized by accountability and transparency. 👉 #Education and stakeholder engagement, to make sure benefits are understood - and projects supported - by local populations and stakeholders. 🔑 Access to the right #technology and know-how remains the key to make things happen. Many technologies are already mature, and we continue to #innovate, invest in R&D, and keep on developing new solutions. ♻️ Water reuse is a great example to rethink our economy: shifting from open loops to #circulareconomy, where waste becomes a #resource. Already 2/3 of world citizens now agree with this principle and say they are ready to consume reused water. This is a true step forward. One more reason to keep on advocating for solutions that work! #Sustainability #PublicPrivatePartnership #GreenUp Dominique Gatel Rebecca Peters Berenice Kandiwapa Ndaitwah Heather Cooley Javier Mateo-Sagasta Yogita Mumssen Satoshi Ishii Christopher Flensborg Sumeet Thakur Tomas Serebrisky Peter Szappanos Jai Shroff Eliza Roberts Kaushik Janakiraman Braulio Eduardo Morera Sophie Trémolet Veolia Water Technologies Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions
