We focus on chronic conditions — like diabetes, obesity, depression, and hypertension — which account for 80% of the $3 trillion spent on healthcare in the US. By combining advanced technology with top-notch healthcare providers, Vida is breaking down the barriers that have historically kept people from getting the best care. Vida’s cloud-based platform captures real-time data from 100+ devices and apps and delivers AI-driven insights back to employers, health plans, and providers to improve care. Clinical obesity management doesn’t need to rely on prescribing expensive GLP-1 medications to everyone. Many people opt for affordable, clinically-backed care like Medical Nutrition Therapy when given enough support. We launched our Clinical Obesity Management program nine months ago and are seeing great results. Check out our case study https://lnkd.in/e7VmgVp2 to see how one company saw GLP-1 utilization shift towards lower-cost alternatives while maintaining strong member engagement.

Wonder how an obesity center of excellence could help the people in your organization? In our recent webinar, world-renowned obesity specialist Fatima Cody Stanford explained what makes up her obesity center of excellence at Mass General. Vida takes a similar multidisciplinary approach — with care teams of prescribing physicians, registered dietitians, therapists, health coaches, and more — in a virtual setting.

Healthcare costs for employers are expected to increase by 9% next year, according to a recent analysis by Aon. The GLP-1 category alone will drive 1% of those increases. [https://lnkd.in/get_xHtt] Employers across the country are partnering with us to manage that trend. Our flexible cardiometabolic solution is designed to treat the full spectrum of obesity and diabetes — two of the most expensive chronic conditions. And we’ve launched with major PBMs to give employers the tools to control skyrocketing spend on GLP-1s. Want to learn more? Check out the comments below for a link to read our Guide to Clinical Obesity Management.

Many people have more than one chronic disease — which is why it’s important to treat multiple conditions together. Our adaptive programs make it easy to personalize care and meet the unique needs of your population. Each program includes several pathways that can be layered, mixed, and matched to meet an individual’s needs.

Great piece from our Senior Director of Therapy and Care Navigation Claudia Ryan, LCSW, published in Healthcare Business Today. In it, she explores the connection between obesity and depression and how they both contribute to chronic disease and healthcare costs. Check it out!

If we hope to build a more equitable healthcare system that truly addresses the unequal rates of obesity and diabetes in the US, we need to do a better job of considering people’s cultural identities and lived experiences. That’s especially true when counseling on something so central to identity as a person’s eating pattern and cultural food choices. Restrictive one-size-fits-all diets, and relying solely on AI and chatbots just doesn't cut it. We need to offer more access to registered dietitians, offer more culturally sensitive nutritional training to those dietitians, and figure out a way to attract more BBIPOC people to the dietetics profession. #registereddietitians #equitablecare #RDs

One of our CPG clients chose to implement Vida Health as a preferred prescriber in their network. They're seeing GLP-1 use shift towards lower-cost alternatives — and report strong member engagement. #GLP1 #employeehealth
